What we require

Technical diploma or higher (e.g., Mechanical Engineer)
At least 10 years of experience in the role and industry field
Previous experience from specialty machinery engineering companies preferred
In-depth knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic components and principles
Excellent mastery of 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Solidadge - Inventor)
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic regulations
Availability to travel in Italy and abroad for site inspections, testing, and support in plant start-up
Technical English B1-B2 (knowledge of a second language is preferred)
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Autonomy, precision, and attention to detail
Communication skills for technical interface with suppliers and customers
Problem solving, time management, and priority management
Ability to meet deadlines

Functions & responsibilities

This position will be responsible for the design and engineering of pneumatic and hydraulic systems for complex industrial plants (e.g., furnaces and machinery), collaborating with the mechanical, electrical and automation design departments to ensure high-performance solutions and precise instructions for purchasing and assembly.

•Detailed design of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits: functional diagrams, floor plans, bills of materials
•Dimensional calculations of components and pipes (flow rate, pressure, pressure drops)
•Technical feasibility and cost analysis of fluid systems
•Connexion with suppliers to scout components, develop innovative solutions and draft technical specifications
•Supervision of system construction
•Support in drafting operation and maintenance manuals
