Operational support role within the Technical Secretariat, which is part of the Mechanical Engineering Department; the position focuses heavily on managing the bill of materials (BOM) and as-built documentation
Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering and Production departments
- Manage the flow of information, coordinating the technical documentation required for purchasing, manufacturing, assembly, and final testing
- Coding, archiving, and updating mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams) and technical specifications for components
- Assist with entering and verifying bills of materials in the ERP system (e.g., SAP) for the procurement of materials by the purchasing department
- Compile, drafts, and archives technical files, system operation and maintenance manuals, and certificates of conformity (e.g., Machinery Directive, CE, PED, ATEX)
- Manage design changes during construction and updates final documentation
- Maintain continuous communication between the design office, the production/assembly workshop and on-site technicians
Technical Requirements
- Education: Technical diploma (industrial, mechanical, or IT technician) or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field
- Experience: At least 4 years in a similar role
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP) and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems or technical drawing archives
- Basic ability to read industrial technical drawings and use 2D/3D CAD viewers (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) for formal file verification
- Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and CE marking regulations
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of technical English
- Knowledge of bills of materials
- Ability to understand the logic of a production line and its timeline
