The role

Milling, boring, and drilling using 3 and 5 axis CNC machine tools or screen-controlled machines, as needed

May be required to operate 5-axis turning-milling machines
Perform setup and commissioning of the department’s machines, preparing the necessary tools and their presets
Read mechanical drawings, operates the machine based on the required machining cycles and in-process inspections, and records them accurately
Monitor the operation of the machine tools, as well as the quality and conformity of the workpiece, recording findings on the control sheet; operate in accordance with Legislative Decree 81 and its implementing regulations, as well as the requirements of the ISO 45001-9001 Quality Management System regarding Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality; report rejects, anomalies, or alarms that occur during machining
Monitor the work cycle, check for geometric and/or programming errors, apply procedures to resolve them
Perform routine maintenance and reports the need for major maintenance
Perform, during downtime, inspection and adjustment of parts based on drawing dimensions and tolerances and documents the work

Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience: > 5–10 years
Knowledge of machine tools, including 5-axis multitasking machining centres, as well as traditional 3-axis CNC machines or those with display-only capabilities
Knowledge of mechanical drafting, including both individual parts and assemblies
Knowledge of tools and equipment, including “zero-point” systems
Ability to operate in “unattended” mode and/or on multiple machine tools
Knowledge of measuring and testing instruments for in-process control
Knowledge of accident prevention regulations and personal protective equipment (Legislative Decree 81-2008 and subsequent decrees)
Knowledge of the ISO 45001–9001 Integrated Management System for Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality
